Repeal the Zero Tolerance Policy within schools.

Created by B.H. on November 11, 2012

The Zero Tolerance policy states that schools will not allow violence of any kind within school grounds whether it be fighting of any nature, harassment or anything deemed to be a weapon regardless of the severity of the incident or however unlikely the item is to being a weapon.

-This policy contradicts the ability to defend oneself.

-Minor transgressions of this policy are often met with severe punishment and disciplinary action

-There are victims of the Zero Tolerance policy, such as myself, and other well intended students who are wrongfully denied the right to defend oneself and are being punished as much as and along with the perpetrators.

-This policy shows a lack of care for people it was intended.

-This policy was put in place without the consent of the overall student body.
