Repeal/Reform N.C.L.B. and create an education system that judges knowledge by intelligence rather than memorization

Created by R.R. on April 14, 2013

1. The amount of material presented to students in classrooms is lessened to emphasize a few key points to improve test scores.

2. Teaching-to-test limits the amount of knowledge gained by students. It also hinders the ability of a student to think creatively and express their knowledge beyond a provided answer.

3. The current way that standardized tests are used does not measure the learning ability of the student nor their intelligence level.

4. The standardized test discriminates against millions of students who do not possess strong test-taking skills, have learning disabilities, or anxiety.

5. The standardized test, especially the SAT, should not be a factor that negatively effects students grades along with the ability to attend college.
