There are a number of temporary and term employees who are participating in student hire programs or who are friends and families of managers in government organizations. Convert these positions to temporary, term or best permanent positions for veterans. The agency that does it best is the Veterans Administration and they have room for improvement. I challenge the administrations and the VA's excellent leader, Retired Generl Eric Shinseki, to measure their veteran hiring numbers against all other government agencies and take action NOW!
