Replacing the human military infantry with robots that can be operated from the other side of the world has its advantages.
1) less casualties (on our part)
2) robots don't need to be payed
3) robots don't have as limited of a weight limit
4) can be programmed and made a lot faster and in more numbers than human soldiers are trained
5) will allow for delivery of recon information if destroyed
