Whereas, the United States is the only country to require its youth to pledge themselves to their flag and country and
Whereas, we have being this since 1942, with no change to represent our constantly evolving society
Whereas, pledging to a flag and government is very reminiscent of a communist or dictatorship-type nation and
Whereas, the best way to remove the traditional, albeit strange, pledge is by replacing a new one and
Whereas, Centuries is a great song, the lines "But you will remember me
Remember me for centuries" represent the US effect on the world very well.
We hereby petition to replace the old PoA with a song that better represents this time and this generation
