Replace and Reform the way the unemployment rate is calculated to better represent the real number of unemployed.

Petition the Obama administration to consider replacing, and reforming the way the unemployment rate is calculated, and reported to the general public. With millions of Americans falling off unemployment benefits, and unemployment benefits being extended to levels unsustainable by the insurance program, the current system does not accurately represent the true number of unemployed and underemployed people in America. Every unemployed American should be included in the unemployment rate, not just those recieving unemployment benefits. A more accurate number not only gives a true picture of the state of the economy, it also puts pressure on Congress and other lawmakers, to initiate common sense legislation, that can aggressively attack the jobs problem facing America today.
