Replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with Martin Luther King Jr

Created by J.S. on February 04, 2013

President Andrew Jackson violated basic human rights against the Native Americans when he passed and enforced the Indian Removal Act against the orders of the Supreme Court, In doing so, Jackson committed genocide against Native Americans, killing thousands of them. By putting Jackson's portrait on the $20 bill, we are glorifying his actions.
Martin Luther King Jr. helped lead the Civil Rights Movement which led to racial equality in the United States, without any violence. He deserves to be honored for that.
