We the signers of this petition wish to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill for the following reasons.
1. Directly ignoring the Supreme courts ruling of the Indian Removal Act of 1830 unconstitutional and the continual removing of members of the Cherokee, Seminole, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Muscogee Native American tribes.
2. Said removal of the these tribes led to many members of these tribes to suffer from exposer, disease, and starvation, leading many deaths, between 2000-6000 of the Cherokee tribe alone.
3. His destruction of the Second National Bank and putting funds into state banks lead to the Crisis of 1837
4. His anti-abolition ties led to the creation of the gag rule on slavery until 1850, leading to the growing conflict over slavery between the north and the south
