Replace Arne Duncan with Diane Ravitch as Education Secretary.

Public education and public educators deserve effective advocacy that addresses the core issues of teaching and learning. Scapegoating educators, emphasizing testing, embracing a corporate model, and devaluing the whole child are not addressing poverty, parenting, inadequate and inequitable funding, and cultural changes which actually do affect teaching and learning. Diane Ravitch has been a tireless and true advocate of public education and public educators. We need her vision, experience, and courage in stopping the damaging Education Reform movement (an approach favored by the current Education Secretary, Arne Duncan).
