Let us actively preserve our national heritage for future generations of Americans. We call for Native American Culture Day. In order to preserve and celebrate indigenous cultures of the United States we petition for a holiday that turns away from the darkness of past exploitations and instead celebrates Native American culture and heritage.
Anyone who is educated at all knows all the atrocities Columbus participated in and led. He should not be celebrated. Please revoke this holiday celebrating a violent and greedy man who saw nothing but slaves and dollar signs when encountering these people and lands. It's time that Native Americans are recognized and celebrated for surviving relocation, rape, genocide and constant lies.
