Christopher Columbus never set foot in the US, and was a mass murderer. If we're going to celebrate someone that killed a bunch of people, why not celebrate Peter Francisco? At least he stepped foot in the US, unlike Columbus. Christopher Columbus was responsible for the genocide of countless innocents, while Peter Francisco's body count is from slaying redcoats in the Revolutionary War. So much more appropriate.
