replace Columbus Day with Voting Day as a national holiday on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November.

Created by A.A. on November 10, 2015

Columbus Day celebrates the discovery of the Americas, but it disregards the negative consequences of that discovery on the indigenous peoples. Observing a national Voting Day every year for national, state, local, and municipal elections will encourage the improvement of our society through broad participation in the democratic process.
