Sometimes, you're just on the wrong side of history and you try to move on. learn something and heal. This flag was on the wrong side of history not once, but twice. First as a battle flag, which was retired after the war. Then, it was brought back by the Southern States in 1962, nearly 100 years after the war as retaliation for anti-segregation legislation. Twice that flag has represented oppression and racism. People have the personal freedom to fly whatever flag they want. When it comes to Government buildings, not so much. All tax paying citizens should be represented equally.
Represent the true spirit of the Confederacy, defeat. Only the white flag of surrender truly represents the Confederacy.
