Reexamine and revise the Army Dress Blue Uniform to be based around the wants of the soldiers that wear them while still appreciating our military heritage. The new and current Dress Blue Uniform with its contrasting dark and lighter blue colors and beret with white collared shirt and tie is homely and leaves much to be desired. It is routinely mistaken for a Navy Uniform because of the colors and the white shirt/black tie is much more like a businessman than a soldier. The beret, outside Special Forces, has no meaning to our military heritage. We need a uniform that inspires and enhances the pride of serving our great nation. Many recruits are drawn to the Marine Corps because of the pride in the uniforms they wear. The Army wants and deserves to have a uniform they can wear with pride.
