Whereas Senators and House Reps have health care needs similar to all other human beings and often less dire needs than US military troops AND whereas by their own admission we are in need of cuts in governmental spending, we petition for the elimination of separate health care benefits for members of congress, by providing their health care within the current TRICARE military health care system.
Minimal cost in issuing ID cards and reassigning dues will afford our congress members the same benefits offered military troops and their dependents. As such, any benefits deemed necessary for congresspeople will be offered to all active duty, retired, or reserve military troops and their families and the unnecessary spending required to administer separate programs will be eliminated.
