We spend millions of taxpayers' money on ink and a paper blend to replace the bills that get worn easily. Since they are the most commonly used, it makes sense to make them durable. It's time the US joins other advanced economies in dropping lower denomination bills. Although coins are heavier than dollar bills, they are easier to organize in one's wallet/purse than worn and crumpled bills. Plus they are impossible to counterfeit.
