Replace Dr Hamburg with NEW FDA HEAD who will champion Accelerated Approval for life saving meds for kids with Duchenne

Early this year FDA under the failed leadership of Dr Margaret Hamburg made a statement to the Duchenne community stating that a new drug application for a life saving drug eteplirsen for boys with Duchenne was "premature". Boys on the drug have shown a remarkable 2 years of stability in the distance they are able to walk in 6 minutes in an ongoing clinical trial. Now thousands of other boys with this fatal disease await this drug. Directly in the way is the FDA and Margaret Hamburg who is asking for years worth of phase 3 data. This delay would result in sure death for many boys with DMD. Without this drug countless number of boys will needlessly end up in a wheelchair and die.
