We ask that this petition is responded to by President Trump’s administration within 60 days of taking office.
We the people, ask that on taking office President Trump takes immediate and all necessary actions to scrap the Electoral College and replace it with a system of “one person, one vote” in time for the 2020 Presidential elections and all elections thereafter.
The Electoral College is out of date and has no place in modern elections where every citizen’s vote must count equally. This will ensure that no political party will ever again ignore large swathes of the electorate in “safe states” or in “states held by the other party”. This will lead to higher voter participation across the country and will insure that the President is elected "By the People, For the People".
