The election of the President of the United States is the only election that is not currently decided by a popular vote. This flies in the face of the American way, and should be replaced with a popular vote immediately. No person should feel that their vote will not matter because of how others are voting, yet the electoral college encourages just that. Voter turn out is affected, as is the people's belief in their government. Every vote should count, and only a popular vote can make that a reality.
