We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Replace the Electoral College Process with Popular Vote.

Created by B.H. on November 09, 2016

Why is it when voting for our Commander in Chief, we the people do not have much of a say? Right now, the 12th Amendment states that the President will be voted for by the Electoral College, taking away the voices of the people and giving up their power to a select few representatives of their State. America is too large now to use the Electoral College method, and is only 1/11 countries in the whole world to use this old-world method. This outdated voting structure is a remnant from an era that we have moved on from…where the founding fathers specifically did not want, and could not get a nation-wide vote by the people to choose their next President. By using the popular vote method, ALL Americans can be assured that their vote for the Presidential candidate will actually count.
