In rebuttal to the voters of Michigan who rejected the concept of the "Emergency Financial Manager", governor Snyder passed a law that eliminates the opinion of the voter by implementing the "Emergency Financial Manager" Law that takes away all power from elected officials and places it with the governor appointed EFM. So far, this law has been used by the governor to reward his campaign finance backers, ALEC and the John Birch Society, meanwhile he eliminated corporate state taxes, has created NO jobs and with the loss of 1.5 BILLION dollars per year in tax revenue, can no longer maintain the infrastructure. The State of Michigan now requires over 6 BILLION dollars to fix the roads and does not have the money. Therefore, the state is bankrupt and requires an EFM to replace the governor
