replace the image of Andrew Jackson on the 20 dollar bill with that of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Created by K.A. on June 21, 2014

As Slate magazine argues simply: "Andrew Jackson engineered a genocide. He shouldn’t be on our currency."

Replacing Jackson with Martin Luther King, Jr.'s image would remove a grave symbolic insult to the many our country has committed against Native Americans, celebrate the civil rights advances of the African-American community, and enshrine the respect of the United States for morally grounded, non-violent struggle as a means of achieving social justice.
