The AR-15, Known as the M16, Weapon System has been used by our US Armed Forces since 1963. Throughout time it has gone through extensive enhancements and modifications due to lack of reliability, firepower and complexity. Even today in its most recent incarnation, The M4 Carbine, the weapon system is not without flaws and the complaints of our soldiers go on ignored and unnoticed. Billions of dollars have been squandered by continuing to use the outdated system and the U.S. Army continues to disregard and ignore the many new modern weapon systems available for our U.S. Armed Forces. We the people petition you, the Commander and Chief, to take action and replace the 51 year old weapon system with a modern, reliable and powerful weapon system.
