Replace men's and women's restrooms with unisex restrooms

Created by S.B. on April 22, 2016

North Carolina recently passed a bill that forces transgender women and men to use the restroom of their sex, rather than the gender they identify with. This law is discriminatory and disgusting.

Instead of discriminating against transgender people, we could change public men's and women's restrooms to single, unisex restrooms. This could help solve multiple issues including, but not limited to:

- Transgender men and women wouldn't have to worry about which bathroom they would have to go in to
- It could cut down on the discrimination that the LGBTQ+ community faces when they enter a restroom, since it would be a single restroom.
- Single fathers would be able to change their child on a changing bed instead of their lap or a floor (men's restrooms don't usually have changing beds)
