In 1956 "In God We Trust" was adopted as our national motto and was ordered to be imprinted on coins and currency (expanding the practice begun on coinage in 1864 as a concession to efforts to modify the United States Constitution to include references to "God."). This is a clear violation of the establishment clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution which "prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion."
As this violation has been permitted to continue for 56 years thus far, we respectfully request that a new national motto, "Hasa Diga Eebowai," be adopted and imprinted on all coins and currency for the next 56 years, 2013 through 2069, after which it be officially replaced by the original unofficial motto "E Pluribus Unum."
