Past policy/tradition has been to erect a Christmas tree on the front lawn of the White House. America looks forward to this tradition along with state participation and the official lightIng of the tree. America's backbone is immigration, that's where the founding fathers came from, a foreign country with foreign customs, their journey to America came with the tradition of the Christmas tree. We have honored
and accepted that tradition and it has become a part of Americana.
To rename this tradition as a "Holiday Tree" is wrong. Should we also rename the Jewish Menorah candle a Holiday candle?
