People kill too efficiently with guns. Life is too valuable to waste. Criminals have access to guns but guns are not invincible. If police were given proper armor that can stop all current firearms, there would be no need for the police to carry such dangerous weapons themselves. This defensive reinforcement will deter accidental or foul loss of life.
