As we move forward trying to "United" our country, we need to abolish all things tied to racism and inequality.I feel that promoting President George Washington on the dollar bill, while factually knowing he was a slave owner is taking giant leaps back for everyone who has fought for equality. Although President George Washington has done great things for our country, we should not continue to idolize an individual that has views towards humanity that we have struggled and still struggle to over come today. Racism unfortunately still continues in our country between many races, even though our country is build on immigration. Our government needs to take the first steps to do away with all things tied to our dark past as a nation. To bring us together moving forward.
