"Waves of Fear," the Lou Reed song featuring a blistering apocalyptic guitar solo by the late Robert Quine, more appropriately reflects the prevailing atmosphere and attitude of patriotic Americans in the current age, as we are unrelentingly assailed by a crippling military budget, continual abridgements of precious civil rights and a for-profit Government that allows and enables the transition of our ostensibly formerly Democratic nation into a Plutocratic Oligarchy.
Plus, nobody can hit the high note in "the Star Spangled Banner."
