Replace the Statue of Liberty's book with a "Days Since Last Mass Shooting" sign.

It's sad that we live in a time where mass shootings are such common occurrence that rarely an eyebrow is even lifted when one does occur save for those directly impacted by these horrible and preventable tragedies. The Statue of Liberty, always meant to be a representation of America, I feel therefore needs some updating. This petition states that we believe the book held by the Statue of Liberty which is inscribed with the date July 4th 1776 should be replaced with a sign reading "Days Since Last Mass Shooting." Under that will be a number representing the number of days similar to what one might expect to see outside of a construction site showing the days since the last work site accident.
