Replace The "Thanksgiving" name with "Aboriginal Remembrance Day"

Thanksgiving as we know, is a day we give thanks for everything we have, no matter the religion, both Canada and the U.S recognize this holiday. Thanksgiving also has a dark side to it. For thousands of Native Americans it is a day of mourning, a day in which we mourn for the innocent civilians who were massacred in 1637. Thanksgiving is a day that goes back to the days of colonization. So I propose that we keep what Thanksgiving stands for but replace the holiday name with "Aboriginal Remembrance Day" and establish it as a day we give thanks for the country we live in, for our families and we also mourn the deaths of millions of indigenous peoples who came at the hands of our great country. Let's acknowledge these tragedies and give thanks.
