Replace the volunteer army with a draft army. It is fair that the children of the privileged also fight for our country

Any politician who seeks office, any legislator who holds office must be willing to send their own child to war before they may vote to send the children of the middle class or the underprivileged to war. Additionally, no person who themselves abstained from serving in the military during Vietnam or subsequent, for religious (including religious missions) or contrived deferments other than legitimate medical reasons, should be eligible to run for any office that would allow them to send the children of others, and not their own children, to die or be maimed in war at their command. Finally, GI benefits for our veterans. should be brought back to post WWII levels (cost adjusted for today).
