We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Replace the word homosexual with the word sexual throughout 38 C.F.R. § 3.12(d)(5)

Created by W.J. on December 01, 2016

38 CFR § 3.12(d)(5) uses the word homosexual five times, describing offenses for which a resulting discharge or release from military service is considered to be issued under dishonorable conditions. This condemnation of homosexuality is a disgraceful and embarrassing holdover from a bygone era.

As homosexuality is not dishonorable and the acts described in 38 CFR § 3.12(d)(5) would be just as deplorable if heterosexual, the appropriate action is to replace the word homosexual with the word sexual.
