This petition was created to promote awareness for the Colorado River's alarming depletion. Its depletion is due to over use from irrigation, drinking water, and high use from cities like Las Vegas Nevada and Phoenix Arizona. The Colorado River's Delta used to meet the Pacific Ocean in Mexico where it created the most bio diverse ecosystem on the continent, but now ends far from the sea in a mud flat. The goal of this petition is to have the President restore this thriving ecosystem in the delta by returning water to Mexico from the states the Colorado River runs through.
