Brazil, one of Latin America's youngest and most fragile democracies, has suffered a judicially initiated Coup d'etat, invalidating the legal votes of 54 million Brazilians. The Coup has been engineered to remove a democratically elected president and places Brazilian democracy at a crossroads. Those who engineered the silent coup have, in their personal interests, have ended democracy in Brazil, reverting the country to the very same state it was in 1985, when the country came out of the dictatorship. We, in Brazil, are doing our part to fight against this injustice, and now we ask you, citizens of the world's strongest democracy, to join in solidarity against the most violent action a government can take against its citizens: silencing us by taking away our vote. #democracyforbrazil.
