Low wage and poverty issues, are the most important issues to the working poor and those care about them.
Please consider this. Why can’t we at least propose a two tier wage structure? One, a minimum wage, for small businesses with modest profits. These companies really struggle to pay their employees, and are always the reason the debate over minimum wage is stifled. “You can’t hurt small businesses.” But Walmart and so many other companies can’t make that claim. They pay the lowest wages and simply pocket the rest calling it fair profit. They should at the very least pay a real living wage. They are able and their hard working employees deserve it.
Draw a line on profit margins and require them too pay a real living wage. Begin the fight for fair wages now!
