The Carolina Panthers of the NFL have do an injustice to their organization, their fans and to wide receiver Steve Smith. Mr. Smith has been a career long dedicated member of the Panthers organization. He resigned with a contract for multiple years and now in the middle of the off season the Panthers organization fails to either honor or renegotiate this contract to keep Mr. Smith a lifelong Carolina Panther. Mr. Smith has expressed more than once he would like to finish out his career with the Panthers who he signed with as a rookie. His career and dedication to the team should be rewarded as it would be best for the team and the fans. We urge you to have the Carolina Panthers organization relook at the waiving of Mr. Smith and instead peruse options that will have him remain a Panther.
