The second amendment to the Constitution was written to ensure citizens had a means to protect themselves from the possible tyranny of its federal government. Regulations have nullified this ability, neutralizing the amendments original purpose. Since the second amendment is no longer relevant to modern society, it is time to repeal it and allow the states to regulate gun ownership within their borders.
