A recent decision by another branch of government has opened up funding for some political organizations. Meanwhile, we the people are sick of the bombardment of political advertisements every election cycle. We should put this money to good use. The taxation of media sales for advertisements with the purpose of swaying votes for upcoming elections (both via television and radio) would have two positive effects for the American people: 1) more money for government and 2) less political advertisements.
Since the reduction of political advertising would be considered a positive by the vast majority of Americans, there's not need to be conservative with this particular form of taxation. We the people propose a tax on all media sales of political advertisements of 100%.
