request a constitutional amendment to change retirement plans for all elected and appointed offices in the United States

Created by S.G. on December 19, 2015

Elected officials and their staffs collect enormous, TAXPAYER FUNDED pensions after only a few years in office. Meanwhile, private industry has stripped pensions from lifelong employees and replaced them with SELF FUNDED 401K plans. I would like to see a constitutional amendment to:

1. Eliminate Defined Benefit Pension Plans for all elected and appointed offices in the United States at every level of government.
2. Eliminate Defined Benefit Pension Plans for all staff of the above noted offices.
3. Replace the eliminated plans with a 401K equivalent plan. The plans specifics should be based on an average of 401K plans offered by the Dow 30.

This change should be implemented in the most expeditious manner, using a constitutional amendment if necessary.
