DeAndre Jordan is a marquee player in the NBA. A two-time NBA rebounding leader, including the 2014-15 season, his defense is stellar as well as his high-octane dunking game. However, his poor free throw shooting has led opposing teams to employ the Hack-a-Shaq (Hack-a-DeAndre?) tactic. This slows down games, makes for a poor basketball product, and is clearly in violation of accepted gamesmanship. We could wait for the NBA to dissuade such strategies, or we can unite as a country and persuade DeAndre to take matters into his own hands. Or underhands. If DeAndre were to switch his free throw technique to underhand, his statistics in this category are very likely to improve dramatically. The NBA is one of the cornerstones of sports in the USA.
