request the EPA and the CPSC to perform a comprehensive study to determine if crumb rubber turf is safe.

Created by C.R. on September 30, 2015

University of Washington women's soccer coach, Amy Griffin, started noticing that goalkeepers were developing cancer. When she first started her list there were 34 names on it, now there are 63. Parents are worried that the crumb rubber turf, made from recycled tires, could be linked to cancer. Is there a correlation between turf fields and these 63 cancer patients? Its the EPA and the CPSC's responsibility to keep our society safe from products that can harm us. Comprehensive studies need to be performed by both agencies on the material used as well as working with the medical community to see if there is a link. NBC News aired a report about this problem on 30 September 2015.
