The Federal Bureau of Investigation must be tasked with collecting information from law enforcement agencies regarding all deaths and assaults, both justifiable and disputed, caused by police officers. Information on the circumstances of the killing and weapons involved should be collected as well. We ask that President Obama direct the Federal Bureau of Investigation to collect this information annually and publish it as a part of the Uniform Crime Reports.
