The reason why I feel this is an important issue is because television has simply become unwatchable, due to ridiculous amount of commercials that many television stations have been at liberty to insert in a 30 minute, or a 60 minute long, broadcast. Television programs and movies are being oversaturated with commercials, and I feel it's time for the government, particularly the FCC, to take action and regulate this, by thereby reasonably limiting the amount of commercials that a broadcaster can add to an hour long broadcast. Unfortunately, when I watch television nowadays, particularly when I'm watching the programming on stations that I'm paying for through my satellite provider, there seems to be more commercials being shown than actual content.
