Mr. Soltan was detained by the Egyptian government for filming injured protestors. View the video posted by the New York Times, it is very moving. He is as American as any of us but our government has failed to come to his aid. I cannot fathom in this time how we could fail to come to the aid of an American simply because he is Muslim. I am not religious but this offends my sense of what is right.
The young man is on a hunger strike and will die without our help.
