First I would like to say that I know the white house does not have the power to do what I am proposing here. This is more about getting the discussion going than effecting direct and immediate change.
The way I see it there are two ways to fix the US government.
1. Make it so that any political campaigns have a specific amount of funding, no more, no less with any discounts required to be equal for everyone. Also would have to put more strict limits on where elected officials can get money or support from.
2. Change to a nearly pure democracy. Congress and the House could still play roles but the actual votes on passing laws should be done by the citizens not representatives that are paid by corporations to pass or block certain laws.
