During the recent visit of Pope Francis to the United States, H.E. Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano arranged a secret meeting between His Holiness and Kim Davis, who is in violation of the Supreme Court's affirmation of same sex marriage in all states by refusing to sign marriage license applications in Kentucky, based upon a religious objection of conscience. This meeting has given Ms. Davis and her proponents the belief that the Holy See endorses her civil disobedience and encourages her and her followers to continue to block attempts by members of the LGBT community to obtain their full civil rights. This is attempt on the part of the Papal Nunciature to prevent certain American citizens from fully accessing their civil rights and a desire to interfere with and influence US laws.
