Request Justice Antonin Scalia to recuse himself from any future votes on cases involving the Voting Rights Act or DOMA

Created by R.K. on February 28, 2013

Justice Antonin Scalia has obviously crossed a serious ethical line by routinely, in past statements to the media and in oral arguments for the current case concerning the voting rights act, demonstrated a clear and persistent bias with regards to the right of American citizens to exercise their constitutionally protected right to vote through the use of inflammatory racial language that is unbecoming of a member of our nation's highest court.

At minimum, Justice Scalia's racially charged language indicate a clear bias in favor of the plaintiff in a manner that clearly has nothing to due with constitutional law, but rather reflect his own bias against minorities. Holding such views not only precludes him from delivering a fair opinion, they call into question his fitness for his office.
