For over two years the East Baton Rouge Sherrif's Department (EBRSD) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana illegally entrapped and targeted gay men attempting to arrest and prosecute them on sodomy charges based on the fact that their laws against sodomy are still on their books. The District Attorney refused to prosecute the cases. But all of these gay men deserve to have an investigation into the EBRSD to acertain if their civil rights have been violated. The arresting officers claim they had no knowledge that the Supreme Court case that struck down all sodomy laws wiped out the laws on their books and they used their no longer valid laws to harass a specific group of people in their community.
