We believe that the murder of Trayvon Martin was a hate crime, and his civil rights were violated. Despite all the civil rights laws guaranteeing equal justice for all, the reality of today’s society demonstrates that discrimination still exists. We urge the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division to investigate and prosecute George Zimmerman for this murder.
